Youth Ministries
(Grades 6th-12th)

I Timothy 4:12Youth Groups-- Our Youth Groups (for Jr. High and High School) meet Sunday nights from 6-8 p.m. Even though we meet in the same building, the Jr. High and High School groups are separate and each have a teaching time, small group discussion time and game time. Youth Groups meet September through early December and again from early January through early May. Other events in the High School Program:
- Include a week of C.I.Y. conference the last week of July.
- Every other summer a Missions Trip to Mexico.
- The weekend before Thanksgiving we attend the Illinois Christian Teen Convention in Springfield on Friday and Saturday.
- We also take a Spring Retreat just for our group at a retreat center in mid-March.
- Include a choice of two weeks of camp at L.R.C.A. (Jr. High Cabin is the third week in June and Bikes, Blades, and Boards Extreme camp is the second week of July.)
- In the fall we take a retreat just for our group to a retreat center.
- In the spring we attend the Jr. High Overnighter in Clinton, Illinois.
- Worship & Study Sunday School Classes for grades 6th-8th and high school meet at 9:00 a.m. See the Sunday bulletin for location and time of each class. Join us in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m. as we worship together!
- Bible Bowl Our Bible Bowl teams compete several times a year in Illinois and attend the National Convention in a different city across America each year.. A new Bible Bowl season begins each year in August. We study several Books of the Bible. Our class meets at 9:00 a.m. and practice is every Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Any young person in 6-12 grades may be on the team. - Choir/Drama: C.I.A. (Christians in Action) Jr. & Sr. High students meet on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. for vocal and instrumental music, drama, constructing sets & props, etc. They participate in Youth Sundays, special programs and worship services.
