David and Sheri DeBolt are the Directors of this home, which cares for 10-20 children. The home is located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Our regular support to them is $13,200 per year.
This is a recognized church entity by the U. S. Department of Defense, for the purpose of having military chaplains from Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. The commission has a newsletter providing information and prayer needs. Also, they keep in touch with the chaplains. Our regular support for them is $1,200 per year.
This church planting organization helped our own congregation get started many years ago, and has been a part of our missions budget every year since before we became self-supporting. This year we will give them $9,900 in regular support.
This ministry is located in the Austin area of Chicago, and does a great deal of work with grade school children and the elderly. Our regular support to them for the year will be $8,400.
This is a local branch of Habitat for Humanity. The organization helps low income families build and buy a low priced home, through donations of money, materials and help. Our support for this year is $1,200.
The Hancock’s are serving as missionaries to the Mexico City area with Christian Missionary Fellowship. They will be working with new church work. Our annual support to them is $16,200.
Located in St. Joseph, Erie, Dix and Macomb, Illinois, ICCH provides loving, Christian homes for several children who, for various reasons, cannot be in their own homes. They also have a foster care program. ICCH has 8 programs for unwed mothers, pregnancy counseling and adoption services. Our annual support to them is $3,200.
A campus ministry at Northern Illinois University, headed up by Brian and Tricia Wagner. They provide church service and Bible studies for the students at N.I.U. Our support to them this year will be $5,200.
We brought Garry Jones onto full-time support in 2008. Gary is working in Louisiana, helping with Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. His ministry is helping to rebuild homes destroyed by the storm. We support him with $6,000 in budgeted giving.
This is the Christian camp attended by our youth during the summer and located near Crown Point, Indiana. They serve Christian churches in the Chicago area with camp programs for youth from kindergarten through high school age. Also various programs are provided for adults & families through the year. Our support to them this year is $5,400.
Located in Lincoln, Illinois, LCC trains preachers, missionaries, and other Christian workers. All of our present ministers attended LCC, and currently there are several youth from our church family enrolled. We will send $12,000 to LCC this year for regular support.
We brought on the Lugo family to full-time support in 2008. They are working with Team Expansion, in Caracas, Venezuela. We support them with $7,200 in budgeted giving.
The Pryors work in Papua New Guinea in association with Pioneer Bible Translators. They are in the process of completing the translation of the Bible into the Kire language. They are also teaching the Kire people to read, write, and teach and instructing teachers and leaders so that the work can continue after the Pryor's leave. Churches have also been established among the Kyre. Our regular support to them is $6,000.
This is a Christian Church planting organization that focuses on the New England area. Our support to them this year will be $6,000.
Ron is working in Indonesia through Team Expansion helping with tsunami relief. He is working among a very highly Muslim population. By Summer of 2006 they had built 311 houses. We are supporting Ron with $6,000.
Rodger and Dixie work and serve in the Philippines. The mission is called Mathetes. They are directors for Ambassadors for Christ Philippine Evangelism on the island of Mindanao. This involves church planting, assisting in reaching un-evangelized peoples, producing children's Sunday School curricula, overseeing a medical clinic and an orphanage, training ministers, church leaders, and Sunday School teachers. Our annual support for them is $9,000.
This year we will support this local home for unwed mothers with $3,300.
Chris and Lori are serving with Pioneer Bible Translators as Bible translators among the Sob people of Papua New Guinea. Our annual support for them is $16,200.
We also support the North American Christian Convention with $750.00 per year and the National Missionary Convention with $500.00 per year.
This is a Mission Fund that includes both budgeted and monies designated to “Missions” for distribution to urgent or special needs, primarily of the Missions that we support. The mission budget for 2008 is $139,670. Designated missions offerings are over and above the amounts listed for each mission. If you would like to designate extra to any of these particular missions or just to “missions”, you can do so by noting your donation on your offering envelope or on your check.
