Ministry Teams

Adult Education
to see that excellent Bible instruction, Fellowship, and Caring Ministry to one another is being offered in groups, with a view to winning people to Christ and maturing them in Christ. The scope of this team includes Adult Sunday School, Adult Small Groups, the Church Library, and providing various educational materials and opportunities.

Benevolent
to see that the physical needs of the membership are being met in crisis times and that they are also being supported emotionally. Examples include meals, flowers, or financial support. The team also helps to organize the talents and abilities of the membership to meet the physical needs of elderly or widowed members, i.e., mechanical repairs, household repairs, etc.

Building Team
to see that the building is maintained in such a way as to be conducive for worship and growth activities. Responsibilities include seeing that the building is kept clean and in good repair, seeing that the Church is adequately insured and otherwise protected and to coordinate with the Decorating Committee.

Children's Ministry Team
to help children become followers of Jesus Christ. The children’s ministry team seeks to do this by following six core values of the children’s ministry: child-targeted, safety, fun, teaching the Bible creatively, intentionally shepherding in small groups, and being relevant and application-oriented. The scope of this team’s responsibility (birth through 5th grade) includes the nursery, children’s worship, children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible school, summer camp, nursery cradle roll program, and special events.

Fellowship Team
to nurture the oneness and warmth of fellowship among this congregation. The responsibilities are to coordinate any all-church activities, to be responsible for membership pictorial directories, to appoint someone to send Care Packages to college students and service people, and to see that holiday baskets are given to widows and widowers in our Church family.

Finance Team
to see that the financial responsibilities of the congregation are met, so that the work of other ministry teams are neither hindered nor limited. Responsibilities include to develop the budget and see that it is understood by the congregation, to see that the congregation is educated in the Biblical concept of stewardship, to see that the financial need of a growing church are always known and understood, and to handle the arrangement of financing for large projects such as land or buildings.

Grounds Team
to see that the grounds are maintained in such a way as to be a good witness to the community. Specific responsibilities include to make sure lawn, shrubs, trees and flowers are properly cared for, to make sure the parking lot is adequate and maintained, including snow removal and to maintain the Church van.

Men's Ministries
We provide activities that will encourage men to grow in their love for Christ and to fellowship with one another. The responsibilities are to organize men's groups, to plan fellowship activities, to schedule retreats and seminars, and to coordinate any athletic programs.

Missions Team
to see that the congregation is continually aware of and supportive of worldwide evangelism and benevolent work. The responsibilities are: to see that mission project are continually before the people through special speakers, newsletter items, bulletin board displays, special days, etc; to be responsible for special offering for mission project; to keep in contact with those missions supported; to recommend the addition or deletion of missions supported; to coordinate outside work projects for missions as needed; and to recommend a mission budget and the handling of mission funds.

Outreach Team
The goal of our team is to develop the evangelism and outreach ministries of FCC with the goal to attract new visitors, make them feel welcome, help them to become assimilated into the life of the Church, and build a solid foundation for developing a deep faith and close relationship with Christ. The responsibilities are to develop an infrastructure of cooperation, to develop programs for training in evangelism, to be models of awareness and sensitivity to new members and visitors, to develop an effective follow-up program for visitors, to be a resource team for the staff member, and to plan/coordinate revival meetings.

Rainbow Preschool Team
Our team oversees and supports the preschool director and teachers in maintaining a program which meets the needs of the children and serves as an outreach of the congregation. Our responsibilities are to see that the financial stability of the school is maintained, to ensure that the content of the program and the atmosphere maintain a Christian perspective, to serve as a liaison between the preschool and the congregation, and to coordinate the use of the shared facilities.

Technology Team
Our task is to maintain and enhance the tech systems so that the ministerial and office staff members have the proper tools to effectively carry out their ministries. The responsibilities are to keep the computers and related equipment in good running order, to keep the equipment and software reasonably current as technology advances, and to administer the Church's web site and internet connections.

Women's Ministries
to minister to the needs of the women at FCC by offering opportunities that enrich, encourage, and evangelize. The responsibilities are: to prepare and teach women's Bible studies; to organize fellowship opportunities; to reach out to women who attend FCC alone; to encourage and facilitate prayer opportunities for the women of FCC.

Worship & Arts Team
As a child, did you perform for your parents and siblings or were you on the speech team? Do you like to make phone calls, create posters on the computer, or play with microphones and video cameras? Do you like to sing or play an instrument? Do you like to plan parties? These are just a few of the many ways you could be involved with us!

Youth Team
The goal is to see that 5 purposes are accomplished: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Outreach. The scope includes Sunday School, Bible Bowl, Youth Groups, Discipleship, Youth Service, etc. Responsibilities are to project and plan for future Youth needs, to take care of Camp/CIY registrations and promotion, and to assist in fundraising and planning for Missions Trips.
