1. Christmas Programs

“Tonight, Heaven Touches Earth” December 17, 19-21 7:00 PM This musical begins by focusing on the birth of Christ but toward the end, it changes to focus on why He came – to die for us. There are several styles of music including contemporary, classical, gospel, and ballad. Creative elements will include lighting, an incredible set, as well as something you may never have seen before. TNT Dance Studio will be partnering with us again this year to provide choreography on a couple of songs. Tickets are on sale now for $1 at the Welcome Center or in the church office This event is attended by more people from our communities than any other event that we do here at FCC. It’s a great opportunity to invite your family and friends who do not have a relationship with Christ. Please be in prayer for all those involved and all those who will come.

2. Christmas Eve service

December 24 6 & 9 PM

3. Thanksgiving Food Drive

We will be collecting nonperishable food items for the Chicago Christian Service Center which they then use to create Chritmas baskets. Please bring canned goods and other staples that are simple to prepare and are nourishing. The recipients do not need fancy food, just food to help them survive. Please bring your items to the table in the foyer by November 30. We will also be taking donations of money for the purchase of meat and perishable items.

4. Overnight Shelter for the Homeless

Grundy Area P.A.D.S. is undertaking a very significant project to provide housing for the homeless in Morris through the coldest months of the year. So far five churches have committed to cover Monday through Friday every week. Our church will be ghosting this event every Wednesday. We need a minimum of 40 volunteers per month. This would be a great place to begin serving even if you have not served in the church before. Jesus stated that he takes it very personally when we help a person who is in need

5. Community Thanksgiving Service

This year's service will be here at First Christian Church in Morris on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m.
